If you’re watching India suffer from Coronavirus from outside India…this is for you.

BBC: More than 400,000 infections have been reported in India

India has the money.

It has the resources.

It’s overflowing with people.

But what it doesn't have — is a bridge that links the broken system.

Why not? Because it’s filled with gaps and pot-holes in-between.

Of course, we have to take in account for an ignorant, illiterate, idiotic government that eats paan, points fingers and blackmails to flase promises, in order to regain power, no matter what’s going on.

It seems like all they care about is religion, money, festivals, statues and fame. Oh not to forget, social media too.

And it’s not just the Govt, the politics or the constitution. It’s also its very people who mindlessly follow their rules, games and tricks. They don't know what the system is. Blind-folded sheep. Even they can’t help it because they too love the things that anyone does too. Joy, money, fame, religion and nonsense.

Either they don’t know better. Or neither do we sometimes.

For months, headlines, incendiary statements, and viral videos sought to convey the idea that the spread of the virus in the country was the responsibility of a single community……What Virus? Credits: Quartz India

Let’s Take COVID for example.

The Kumbh Mela festival 2021 — The photo above is taken in the middle of a global pandemic. It’s one of the main reasons for India’s 3rd Waves spike.

PEAK COVID time. MILLIONS of people bathed NAKED, WITHOUT A MASK in the river Ganga. Only 2% of that entire crowd were tested for COVID. This caused a major spike in the virus to spread around India. And the Govt let this happen, no questions asked.

Another one is the The West Bengal Elections—where Mr Modi was the face of the BJP’s unsuccessful campaign. He held massive rallies, full of mask-less people. And even after all that, he lost. So imagine how bad is it going to be next time.

Another instance where the Indian Govt. — demanded social media platforms to take down hundreds of accounts that criticized the government for its conduct during protests by angry farmers.

All these are small things that portray the very fault in our system. There’s like ten-thousand other examples that prove this.

I’m honestly the last one who cares about Indian politics…

But looking at India through a screen wasn’t enough because I wasn’t there. And from that angle, it’s hard to justify what’s wrong.

Although, social media helped me educate, entertain and be cautioned.

It carried a baggage of emotions and feelings too…

And no matter how sad or angered or embarrassed I felt through the screen, I forgot and carried on.

I was already off living my old nut-shelled life.

Honestly, watching India’s misery through a screen, just did not cut it.

Because re-sharing posts, stories and blogs weren’t enough.

It felt like pretend till someones actually notices and cares.

“Oh that comment you made, really mattered.”

Meh.

Forbes: Undertakers wearing protective suits carry a body next to a burning funeral pyre of a person who died from Covid-19.
Forbes: Health officials in New Delhi have resorted to begging for replenishments of oxygen on social media.

How can I help? How can I raise my voice?

So instead of asking you to like, comment and share…

A few friends of mine and I created a GoFundMe campaign to help India battle COVID from outside India,.

Just so we feel that we tried, that we helped, that we care.

Donate on the link above!

The GoFundMe campaign “Join The Fight Against COVID — From Outside India” is a small effort to help to donate. It’s a tiny blip amongst the sea of other things happening in that country.

But all this is in the intention to help, regardless of the amount. From simple food to oxygen to anything that helps the people who are battling life and death because of COVID.

The goal is to… help the poor and needy by providing them with materials to stay healthy and maintain their health to fight this pandemic. Attain a healthier state of the body and mind to reduce and prevent the chances of COVID-19 or fight the post COVID-19’s effects and other illnesses.

We’re giving the money to existing volunteers and helpers, rather than big funds and organizations, with the help of our friends back home.

We’re arranging for thing like:

1.Food (Cooked & raw materials, fruits & vegetables)
2. Water
3. Medicines like (Vitamin C and other immunity boosters, Painkillers, fever reducers, etc.)
4. Sanitizers
5. Masks
6. Toiletry kits
7. Oxygen & related supplies

And literally anything that helps them, in any form of way. We’re are open to suggestions!

If you live outside India and feel obliged to help, click the link and donate if you’d like. And if you feel you can’t donate, then maybe re-share this article that someone else in your friends and family might want to.

We’ve listed more in the link description and we’re updating the page as and when we go about donating it to charities we know about.

Do you have a particular charity in mind? Message us on the link or drop a comment down below!

It’s the thought that counts, not the money.

And I know you care.

I know you want to help.

Because it’s better to help, rather than stare.

Just makes you feel more human.

Watch this great piece from the Vice!

Thank you for reading!
